The generosity of the land

At Battimandorlo, a genuine and Sicilian-inspired atmosphere is in the air. From breakfast to dinner, guests are taken on a gastronomic journey deeply rooted in the territory and sustainable values.

The management of the Restaurant is entrusted to Matteo Casamichela, a Sicilian-born chef who, after a long international career, has chosen to return home and plant roots precisely at Battimandorlo, with which he shares the values and slow living philosophy. To enrich the offer, the Chef provides customers with a food and wine itinerary that he defines as “tailor-made,” therefore made to measure according to the desires of the individual guest, in accordance with the territory and seasonality.

Only carefully selected ingredients take center stage in the preparations. Like Corrado’s vegetables, which come from ancient seeds according to the sequence of seasons; eggs from Sicilian breed chickens, raised free-range on the property; cheeses and cured meats from Ciccio; homemade bread made with sourdough, just as it was done in the past. The wines, mostly local, are complemented by a few labels from small French producers. The result is a project that respects and tells the story of the land that welcomes us.
